Theatre occupancy for  My Name is Khan dipped to 30 to 35 per cent in weekdays after 90 to 100 per cent occupancy over its release weekend.

The movie had attracted considerable pre-release publicity owing to a decision by the Shiv Sena  not to allow its screening in Mumbai and Maharashtra as a fallout of comments Shah Rukh made about hiring Pakistani players for his Kolkata  Knightriders cricket team.

"The movie did very well on the weekend due to the curiosity factor, with virtually packed houses, but weekday collections fell to around 35 per cent," said a senior executive of BIG Cinemas which has exhibition halls across the country.

Confirming the drop in hall occupancy, Vishal Kapur COO of Fun Cinemas, said, "The movie is suited for a multiplex audience rather than single screens and that is where it has lost out."

Weekday occupancies for My Name is Khan are much lower than it was for 3 Idiots,  he added.

My Name is Khan Rejected by the Masses after initial bumper

After phony thunder all over due to clever marketing strategy and controversy, My Name is Khan now has been rejected by the masses. It is reported that the film will be in loss. Media lies and reviews have been exposed. Film houses are empty now. Check the condition of booking online, see the proof yourself. It opened with a bang at the box office but it saw a drop in box office collection from Monday as the word of the mouth was not good enough to keep the film running to packed houses.

The hype for the film was huge ever since the controversy between Shah Rukh Khan and Shiv Sena broke out. 

Sena boss Bal Thackeray demanded Shah Rukh Khan apologise to the nation after he said in a press conference that he wished if Pakistani players could play in IPL 3. There is a question for SRK: Why did he not select the Pakistan players in his own team. Like a clever cat he played a drama for publicity for the film.

Overnight, Lots of bottom less Gen-X youngsters formed clouds of support against shiv sena on social networks like facebook, twitter etc without even realising that they are being fooled by the tricks of Shahrukh the "cunning" Khan. Generation NeXT's inherent and usually justified hatred towards shiv sena found a reason for expression without even realising that this in turn means Support for Pakistan from within India even when hundreds of atrocities executed on India were sponsored by the same country including the recent 26/11 which was India's 9/11. The naivete of our Prime Minister just reflects the naivete of our masses.  Read this 'Pakistan's smirk has changed into a smile'  and PM in a fix over dialogue with Pakistan to understand how STUPID and NAIVE as a Nation we are and what is our respect in other nations' eyes. Generation NeXT and our PM are no different in their intellect.  Generation X's support for Pakistan OR Pakistani Supporters in media & entertainment industry, is such a demoralising thing for our Armed forces who everyday sacrifice their lives in the hands of Pakistani Jihadis, for protecting this thankless country which doesn't even take care of their widows and children properly after their martyrdom . I bet if Shahrukh had said such a statement on 26/11 a year ago, people would have buried him alive.

Did anyone wonder why a customary check at the NeWark Airport became such a big controversy the moment Shahrukh Linked it with the word "KHAN" . That Linking and ho-halla about it was a deliberate and cheap attempt to gain publicity for MNIK only.

Did anyone wonder why Shahrukh made false claims on a live show on BBC television about signing his body scanner photos printouts when such PRINTOUTS are just not possible because NO PRINTER exists along with those body scanners. Did you know WHY AT ALL HE SAID THAT "PAKISTANI PLAYER" Statement when in past he never took a stand on any social cause or social issue and even callously stayed out-of-the-scene around the time when tsunami happened. Its because he is so business minded that he can sink down to any level for cheap publicity of his movie even at the cost of putting our country to shame.  His "Pakistani player" statement (without taking a Pakistani player in his own team)  was just to please and win hearts with millions of Pakistanis abroad who are his big fans. Everyone knows that MNIK is doing very well overseas, and you can understand how /why when you see the unusually long Queues outside cinemas like feltham and ilford in london, of conservative, volatile, bearded Pakistanis along with their burqa clad women waiting to see the first glimpse of this much hyped yet supremely "pakau" and extremely "naive and crap"  ( read this extremely funny spoof about MNIK here) movie called My Name Is Khan.  Shahrukh had learned since 2004 temptation tour that his Pakistani muslim and other muslim fanbase in Pakistan, UAE, Dubai, UK and US probably outnumber his fanbase in India.  That double tongue "pakistani player" statement and later "panga"  with shiv sena was nothing but a carrot to bring Pakistani public in hoards to the cinema to watch this torture of a movie called MNIK.  

On occasions he has suggested some other contemporary big stars of Bollywood to teach them how to market themselves in UAE/Dubai and rest of the world. Thank GOD they didn't sought his cheap & shameless tactics and maintained some respect and decorum. Its all just money making game for him and he can offer drama of such shameless category without any hint of cunningness that majority of public still treats him a Hero... But I have to say that , for me and hopefully for all of you Readers- Shahrukh - My Name Is Cunning Khan - Your Drama is Over!
